Some Easter Thoughts
Some Easter Thoughts
Mairead & Deasun Lyons
As new life in nature springs up all around us, the Easter season calls us to a renewed enthusiasm and joy in life.
Life is an opportunity, benefit from it,
Life is beauty, admire it,
Life is bliss, taste it,
Life is a dream, realise it,
Life is a challenge, take it,
Life is a duty, complete it,
Life is a game, play it,
Life is a promise, fulfil it,
Life is a sorrow, overcome it,
Life is a song, sing it,
Life is a struggle, accept it,
Life is tragedy, confront it,
Life is an adventure, dare it,
Life is luck, make it,
Life is too precious, do not destroy it,
Life is life, fight for it.
Mother Teresa
Today I have the opportunity to stop,
look up and be grateful for the many gifts that are mine.
Look to this day, for it is life.
Yesterday is but a memory and tomorrow is only a vision.
But today well used - makes every yesterday a memory of happiness…
And every tomorrow a vision of hope.
Some ideas for action:
- Look at the people you meet today with gratitude in your heart, especially your partner.
- Give him/her a compliment today; see and point out the good in others.
- Practice some kindness today… how can I make my partner smile more than usual?
- Take the initiative this week and make a phone call, write a letter, plan a date and tell the someone special in your life the gift to you that they are.
